Gone but not forgotten: My modest antiquarian book business W L Bentley Books has closed, and the inventory has been sold. But the experience of handling beautifully printed books, from 16th-century classical Greek texts through 20th-century fine-press editions, has left its traces in my approach to printing and designing modern titles.
